If the failure detector OBD detects a failed sensor, it needs to be replaced. Before disassembling any sensors, check the safety warnings in the vehicle maintenance manual. Some automotive systems are pressurized, some are electrically charged, and some have hot coolant in them. Special attention should be paid to safety when working.
